MTM BARCHINO MILITARY ATTACK BOAT MODEL

Invented by Capt. Guido Cattaneo and also known as 'barchini' (little boats), the Barchino can best be described as a small motorboat/torpedo. To use the weapon, the pilot had to launch it at maximum speed on the collision course with the target, letting himself fall into the water one hundred meters before the impact. This type of weapon was used successfully by the 10th MAS Fleet in operations against the British navy at Suda (Crete) and in Malta.

Kit includes plastic and photo-etched parts and 1 figure, plus a 36 page color Photo Reference Manual (PRM) with detailed technical specs and valuable images to assist in building historically accurate replicas. Finished model is 7-1/2 inches long.
