Entering service in 1918 too late for combat inn WW I, the S Class saw action in the early days of WW II. The S-Boats were know as the "Pig Boats" due to their less than pretty appearance. The Blue Water navy kit measures 7.5 inches long. The subs small size does not mean little detail. the deck and sail are reproduced to the exact plans used by Electric Boat. the hull and sail is a single piece casting. A photo-etched brass sheet makes up most of the boats details. This is a great starter kit. Kit S102 44.95 Great first time resin kit. |
